أحبطت الشرطة العسكرية بمحافظة تعز، تهريب 6 قطع أثرية يعود تاريخها إلى العصر السبئي وعمرها أكثر من 3 آلاف سنة، كانت بحوزة عصابة حاولت تهريبها إلى خارج تعز.
وأشاد وزير الثقافة مروان دماج، بجهود الأجهزة الأمنية في محافظة تعز، نظير تحقيقها الإنجاز الأمني واستعادة عدد من المخطوطات التاريخية الإسلامية والتوراتية المهمة بعد فقدانها من متحف تعز في وقت سابق.
من جانبه شكّل محافظ تعز نبيل شمسان، لجنة برئاسة وكيل المحافظة عبدالحكيم عون، وعضوية مدير عام الآثار ومدير المتاحف ومندوبين من الأجهزة الأمنية لتحريز الآثار ونقلها إلى مخازن المتحف الوطني.
وقال مدير عام المتاحف بمحافظة تعز رمزي الدميني بتصريح لوكالة الأنباء اليمنية "سبأ"، إن الشرطة العسكرية المتمركزة في نقطة الهنجر أحبطت عملية تهريب القطع الأثرية، وضبطتها بحوزة أفراد العصابة بينهم نساء، خلال محاولتهم تهريبها إلى خارج تعز.
وأضاف: أن القطع الأثرية عبارة عن موائد قرابين وأواني تستخدم للسوائل مصنوعة من الرخام الشفاف، وتتبع المتحف الوطني وتم نهبها أثناء الحرب.
