أصبحت محافظة عدن تعاني من شلل تام وسط إنقطاع مستمر للمياه والكهرباء والتي تعد من اساسيات العيش للسكان وسط وضع إنساني وإقتصادي صعب .
وتعيش العاصمة عدن أزمة حادة إثر انقطاع إمدادات المياه عن منازل المواطنين وانقطاع الكهرباء والخدمات.
ولأكثر من أسبوع انخفض امداد المياه لاحياء عدن بشكل كبير ،فيما شهدت مناطق عديدة انقطاعا كليا للمياه وانقطاع للكهرباء ويعتمد الناس بعدن بشكل اساسي على مياه المؤسسة الحكومية في حياتهم اليومية .
وقال سكان أن المياه منقطعة عن منازلهم منذ فترة ما قبل عيد الأضحى المبارك ،مطالبين بسرعة إعادة إمدادات المياه إلى منازلهم، مشيرين إلى ارتفاع أسعار الوايتات خلال الفترة الحالية بسبب ازمة المياه وسط وضع اقتصادي ومعيشي مثقل بالهموم والاعباء والوضع الاقتصادي الصعب .
وظهر مدير مؤسسة المياه في عدن فتحي السقاف بتسجيل فيديو قال فيه ان سبب ازمة المياه في عدن سببه توقف ضخ المياه من بئر ناصر نتيجة إنقطاع الكهرباء عن خط ٣٣ ،مؤكداً انه يعامل منذ أشهر على توجيهات رئاسة الوزراء لصرف تعزيز لانشاء محطة توليد وشراء مضخات لتحل ازمة المياه في عدن لكن المالية لم تقم باطلاق التعزيز .
ومنذ ان سيطر المجلس الإنتقالي على عدن وطرد الحكومة شهدت عدن إنهيار بالخدمات وشلل في جميع القطاعات مانعكس سلباً على حياة السكان .
وقبل عيد الاضحى المبارك قام الرئيس هادي باصدار قرار جمهوري بتنصيب محافظاً جديداً لعدن، هو أحمد حامد لملس، عضو هيئة رئاسة المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي، كما قام بتعيين العميد محمد أحمد الحامدي مديراً عاما لشرطة عدن، ويرقى إلى رتبة لواء،بعد إعلان الية تسريع تنفيذ اتفاق الرياض والذي من المفترض ان تحسن الخدمات وتعالج المشاكل التي يعاني منها السكان في المحافظات المحررة.

The director of the Water Corporation in Aden, Fathi Al-Saqqaf, appeared with a video recording in which he said that the cause of the water crisis in Aden is the cessation of pumping water from the Nasser well as a result of the electricity cut off from Line 33, stressing that for months he has been working on the directives of the Prime Minister to spend reinforcement for the establishment of a generation station and the purchase of pumps to solve the crisis Water in Aden, but the finance did not launch the reinforcement.
Since the transitional council took control of Aden and expelled the government, Aden has witnessed a collapse of services and paralysis in all sectors, which has negatively affected the lives of the population.
Before the blessed Eid al-Adha, President Hadi issued a presidential decree to install a new governor for Aden, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, a member of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council, and he also appointed Brigadier General Muhammad Ahmad al-Hamidi as Director General of Aden Police, and was promoted to the rank of Major General, after announcing a mechanism to accelerate the implementation of the agreement Riyadh, which is supposed to improve services and address the problems of the population in the liberated governorates.
