أكد محافظ محافظة الحديدة الدكتور الحسن طاهر من خلال بياناً رسمياً له ان جزيرة حنيش اليمنية تحت قبضة وسيطرة قوات خفر السواحل قطاع البحر الأحمر المؤهلة والمدربة تدريباً عالياً ومسلحة بأحدث الأسلحة والمعدات العسكرية بقيادة قائد قوات خفر السواحل العقيد عبدالجبار زحزوح.
ونفى البيان قطعياً الأخبار المتداولة التي روجت لهجوم للقوات الارتيرية في الجزيرة واحتلالها ، وطرد السكان منها ووصفها بالصحافة الصفراء، داعياً الصحفيين عدم الانجرار خلف الأكاذيب والترويج لها وتحري دقة المعلومة قبل نشرها من مصادرها الرسمية.
وأوضح البيان أن ما يحصل بشكل دائم "هناك بعض الصيادين اليمنيين يصطادون في المياة الاقليمية بحثاً عن الاماكن الأكثر وفرة بالأسماك، وعندما يتم مطاردتهم من قوات سواحل ارتيرية يلجؤون إلى الجزيرة هرباً منها والإحتماء بالقوات المتواجدة هناك.
واختتم البيان بتقديم الشكر للأشقاء في قيادة التحالف العربي لمساندتهم الكبيرة في بناء قوات بحرية يمنية مؤهلة وقادرة على حماية الشواطئ والجزر اليمنية.
The Governor of Al-Hodeidah Governorate, Dr. Al-Hassan Taher confirmed, through an official statement to him, that the Yemeni island of Hanish is under the control of the Coast Guard forces, which are highly qualified, highly trained, and armed with the latest weapons and military equipment led by the Commander of the Coast Guard Forces, Colonel Abdel Jabbar Zahzouh.
The statement categorically denied the news circulating that promoted an attack by the Eritrean forces on the island and its occupation, and expelled the residents from it and described it as a yellow press, calling on journalists not to be dragged behind the lies, promoting them and checking the accuracy of the information before publishing it from its official sources.
The statement pointed out that what happens permanently "There are some Yemeni fishermen fishing in the territorial water in search of places with the most abundance of fish, and when they are chased from the Eritrean coast forces, they got back to the island to escape from them and take refuge in the forces present there.
The statement concluded by thanking the brothers in the leadership of the Arab coalition for their great support in building qualified Yemeni naval forces capable of protecting the Yemeni beaches and islands.
