قال المتحدث الرسمي باسم المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي نزار هيثم ان قضية الجنوب منفصلة عن صراع السلطة في اليمن.
وقال هيثم ان ادى الجنوب قضية منفصلة عن صراع الأطراف في اليمن على السلطة، وإنهم غير مهتمين بتفاصيل هذا الصراع إلا من جهة ارتباطه وتأثيره على قضيتهم.
ويضيف هيثم في تصريح لموقع لجزيرة نت "حتى اللحظة ما زلنا نتعامل مع الرئيس هادي بصفته رئيسا شرعيا، وتحت مظلته نخوض جميعا معركة مواجهة جماعة الحوثي في إطار الدفاع عن مشروع الأمن القومي العربي".
