An informed source in the Aden Refineries Company revealed the truth of what a number of news websites reported regarding the presence of influential names in the employees' payroll and this is the reason for the Ministry of Finance's delay in disbursing the salaries of the months of May and June 2020.

The source asserted these allegations are baseless and they are just fabrications justified by the Ministry of Finance for the reasons for refusing to pay salaries. Stressing that no names have been added to the payroll since the suspension of employment in 2014, that is, six years ago and that the statements are delivered monthly to the Ministry of Finance .

The source stated that the ministry has, during the past months, sent down committees to monitor the salary payment, the last of which was in the year 2018 AD, and did not find any names and pointing out that these allegations are an attempt to cover up the ministry's refusal to pay the salaries of the refinery employees despite the approval of the financial reinforcement last Thursday.

The source pointed out that the real reasons for Finance Minister Salem bin Brik refusal to pay salaries carry political purposes and goals for which the refinery employees and workers will not be drawn.
