وقال الوزير عسكر في تغريدة نشرها على صفحته في تويتر ، أن عملية اغتيال الصحفي نبيل القعيطي هي محاولة جديدة لإسكات صوت الحق في حرية التعبير وكشف الحقيقة ، والتي تعيشها اليمن أسوأ فصولها .
ودعا عسكر السلطات في العاصمة المؤقتة عدن إلى تحمل مسؤوليتها في كشف الجناة وتقديمهم للعدالة،

The Minister of Human Rights, Dr. Muhammad Mohsen Askar, condemned the assassination of journalist and international photographer Nabil Al-Qaiti today, Tuesday, as he was leaving his home in the Dar Sa`d district in the temporary capital of Aden, calling on the authorities in Aden to uncover the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
Minister Askar said in a tweet posted on his Twitter page, that the assassination of journalist Nabil Al-Qaiti is a new attempt to silence the voice of the right to freedom of expression and reveal the truth, which Yemen is experiencing its worst chapters.
Askar called on the authorities in the temporary capital, Aden, to take responsibility for detecting the perpetrators and bringing them to justice.
He concluded his tweet with sincere condolences to the family of the journalist Al-Qa’iti and to the Yemeni journalistic family, asking God to bless him with the mercy of his mercy and inspire his family of patience , and this is God and we return to him
