جددت منظمة الصحة العالمية صباح اليوم تأكيدها أن اليمن لا يزال خالياً من فيروس كورونا المستجد.
وفي بيان جديد حول شائعات انتشار كورونا في البلاد، أكد ممثل المنظمة في اليمن ألطف موساني في إحاطته المعلوماتية حول مستجدات الوباء أن اليمن هو البلد الوحيد في إقليم الشرق الأوسط الذي لم يسجل أي حالة إصابة حتى صباح اليوم الاثنين.
وأشار الى أن المختبرات المركزية في صنعاء وعدن تعمل بشكل جيد ويتم إجراء الفحوصات للحالات المشتبهة يوميا، مضيفا أنه لم تسجل أي حالة إصابة حتى الآن.
وأوضح موساني أنه تم التعامل مع أكثر من 150 بلاغ اشتباه بالفيروس وتم التحقق منها عبر فرق الاستجابة السريعة التي تساعد في تشخيص الحالات، لافتا إلى أن نحو 333 فريق استجابة سريعا يعمل بشكل مستمر للتحقق من كل البلاغات.
وقال إن منظمة الصحة العالمية تعمل بشكل وثيق مع السلطات الصحية في اليمن لتجهيز وحدات العناية المركزة في المستشفيات، ومع العاملين الصحيين لتزويدهم بالكيفية التي تمكنهم من التعامل مع فيروس كورونا.
حالة عند الحدود
وكان اليمن أعلن عن أول حالة كورونا ظهرت عند حدوده مع سلطنة عمان، بعد اكتشاف إصابة سائق شاحنة باكستاني بالفيروس قبل دخوله البلاد.
وحجرت السلطات الصحية في منفذ شحن البري بمحافظة المهرة، شرق اليمن، والمحاذية لسلطنة عمان، السائق بعدما رفضت الأخيرة إعادته إلى أراضيها.

In a new statement on the rumors of the spread of Corona in the country, the organization's representative in Yemen, Latif Musani, confirmed in his briefing on the developments of the epidemic that Yemen is the only country in the Middle East region that did not record any cases until Monday morning.
He pointed out that the central laboratories in Sana'a and Aden are working well and checks are being conducted for suspected cases daily, adding that no cases have been recorded so far.
Moussani explained that more than 150 suspected reports were dealt with and verified through rapid response teams that help in diagnosing cases, pointing out that about 333 rapid response teams are working continuously to verify all reports.
He said the WHO is working closely with health authorities in Yemen to equip intensive care units in hospitals, and with health workers to provide them with how to deal with the Corona virus.
Case at the border
Yemen had announced the first case of corona appeared at its borders with Oman, after it was discovered that a Pakistani truck driver was infected with the virus before entering the country.
The health authorities at the land port in Al-Mahra Governorate, eastern Yemen, bordering Oman, quarantined the driver after the latter refused to return him to its country .
